News & Events
I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season. The new year is here and it's time to get back to work and focus on membership. Commander Gullion has planned a five day drive around to reach Districts 6 thru 11, and we are hopeful it will be as successful and the first drive around to Districts 1 thru 5 was last fall. He has graciously invited me and Membership Chair Connie Banks to join the caravan. I have attached the schedule so all of you will know when we will be in your District. We look forward to seeing many of you along the way. The American Legion National Vice Commander will be traveling with us, and it's a great opportunity to meet many of our American Legion Family.
Remember the purpose of our trip is to meet our members as well as pick up lots of membership!!! I know membership is a challenge, but the ALA is always up for a challenge! Let's show the Commander we have what it takes to be the best!! We were extremely successful the first drive around, and I have every confidence we will be just as successful the second drive around! It was so much fun to pick up more membership than the Legion or SAL at every stop! Let's do it again!!
The ALA Department of Indiana is also collecting monetary donations to help our ALA Department of Kentucky neighbors. They are still trying to recover from the terrible tornadoes they experienced and we know the Indiana ALA is always ready to help. Any donations, big or small, would be greatly appreciated. Please notate Kentucky Disaster Relief on the memo line and we will make sure it gets to our friends in Kentucky.
I can't wait to hit the road and visit with many of you! If you have any questions, please let me know.
Thank you for all you do for our military, veterans and their families!

“Dear Father, I thank You that throughout the season of Life, there are endings and new beginnings. I bless Your Word that reminds us that there is a time for every purpose under heaven. So, I thank You for the things that have ended in my Live and I bless you for new beginnings.”
