The purpose of the Membership Committee is to promote the benefits of American Legion Auxiliary membership and to retain and recruit a diverse, active membership to carry out the American Legion Auxiliary mission and programs.
An experienced chairman, with an able committee to assist her, should be placed in charge of membership campaigns. For best results, the plan should be worked out well in advance. Recruiting and retaining a diverse, active membership is critical to the American Legion Auxiliary mission. Veterans need our support and advocacy to assist them at home and abroad, during war and peacetime, to receive the attention and benefits they deserve.
